TAKE NOTICE that I, Beverly A. Levreault, the undersigned tax collector for the town of Amboy, County of Oswego and State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Amboy for the year 2020 and that I will attend at Amboy Town Hall, during the month of January from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Mondays (including January 20 Martin Luther King Jr. Day), 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesdays, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays – during the months of February and March, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesdays or by appointment – for the purpose of receiving the taxes listed on said roll.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2020 without charge of interest. On all such taxes received after such date, there shall be added interest of one percentum (1%) during the month of February and an additional one percentum (1%) for each additional month or fraction thereof thereafter until such taxes are paid or until the return of unpaid taxes to the County Treasurer pursuant to law.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that senior citizens who receive the senior citizen’s exemption of Real Property Tax shall have an extended period of five business days in the interest free period and inf each subsequent period until return of the tax roll to the County Treasure.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that pursuant to the provision of law the tax roll of the Town of Amboy will be returned to the County Treasure of the County on the 2nd day of April 2020
